Joann was a prolific artist and seamstress, graduating from Detroit's CCS (then, the Center for Creative Studies) in 1982 with a BFA in Crafts and Fabric Design with a minor in Painting. Her work has hung at Muccioli Studio Gallery, Macomb County Performing Arts Prestige Show, Detroit Artists Market, Grosse Pointe Artists Association, and the Michigan State Fair. For years she taught Art Enrichment in Grosse Pointe Public Schools; more recently she was an active member of the Quilt Guild of Metro Detroit, where she regularly exhibited. Most importantly, she never stopped making art. Here is just some of the work she left behind -- more will be added soon.
